Construction Contracts Manager RC Frame and Groundworks
Carrowhugh recruitment is currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager for a contractor based in East London who have been operating for the last 30 years. Established over 40 years ago specialising in groundwork, civil engineering, RC frames, architectural concrete, rail, and aviation. As a long established, family-run business, they pride themselves on their loyal client base with repeat business time and again. From their head office in East London they have a strong coverage of projects both in and around London with package values ranging from £5 million to £30 million covering the residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
They need to recruit an additional contracts manager to help support the workload. It is crucial that suitable applicants have experience of working for rival concrete frame and groundwork subcontractors/principal contractors to be considered. This business is turning over around £100 million per annum and with a large proportion of work around London and other Areas.
As a Contracts Manager within this team, your role will focus between pre-contract and post-contract activities, taking projects once they are secured and managing a selection of sites through to completion. Good management and operational skills need to be shown along with the technical knowledge gained from an engineering background and again a strong amount of experience in this role with a rival business. You will report directly to the Construction Director of the business as well as the MD.
Requirements of the Construction Contracts Manager RC Frame and Groundworks:
an individual who is degree qualified in civil engineering and has already progressed through the ranks up through project management to an existing contracts management level or a senior project manager who is ready for the step. You may be recently stepped up to this level or may have been doing it for a number of years, but it is crucial you have come from this sector background and have gained this technical management experience while working in the subcontract concrete frame and groundwork market.

Packages are always based on individuals' backgrounds and experience but as a rough guide, I have been told the company will pay around £130,000 figure ( on a self-employed basis if preferable )
