Project Manager - Groundworks & RC Frame
Carrowhugh recruitment is currently recruiting for a Project Manager for a contractor based in East London who have been operating for the last 30 years. Established over 40 years ago specialising in groundwork, civil engineering, RC frames, architectural concrete, rail, and aviation. As a long established, family-run business, they pride themselves on their loyal client base with repeat business time and again. From their head office in East London they have a strong coverage of projects both in and around London with package values ranging from £5 million to £20 million covering the residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
We have been asked to find specialist groundwork and concrete frame Project Managers capable of delivering packages ranging in value up to £25 million.
This is an exciting opportunity to lead and motivate your team to exceed goals whilst keeping to budget and to programme. The successful professional will receive the necessary support and guidance from the senior management team. You will also be given the autonomy and responsibility to achieve results using your own management style and methods of leading site teams.
This specialist contractor carries out a variety of complex packages with technical challenges to overcome. You will work closely with the contracts manager to deliver these residential and commercial packages to the highest standards.
Salary and Package
For this exciting opportunity, we are targeting a Project Manager looking to earn anywhere from £380 to £450 per shift. Specific salary will be defined upon experience and suitability. Furthermore, there will be a generous package offered; travel allowance OR company vehicle in addition to standard benefits associated with a successful company (bonus scheme, pension, laptop, phone etc.).
About the Requirements
The successful Project Manager will need be degree qualified in civil engineering or construction management and will be able to show a strong career history from a site engineer level through to management over the last 5-10 years. Individuals will need to have a strong understanding of everything from piling, groundworks, basement construction and concrete frame construction, whilst working on both residential and commercial projects.
Usual duties will apply from overall management of the site team, technical management of the programme and works, through to management of the client and surrounding aspects (i.e. health & safety, temporary works and client meetings).
It is crucial that the individual can show a strong amount of concrete frame and groundwork construction background having worked for rival RC frame and groundwork subcontractors in the UK. You will ideally have experience of working in London and the South East. Candidates from a main contract or different subcontract background cannot be considered.
In terms of software, our client uses the usual Microsoft programmes, standard email functions and Asta Powerproject for planning / programming works is their preferred. Project Managers will be required to use all these tools.
